Omeletter

Terms of Use

Last updated 3 October 2026

These terms govern your use of the Omeletter app and the website at omeletter.app, both published by Fisheggs Pty Ltd. By using either, you agree to them.

1. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Omeletter for your own enjoyment. You may share your daily result, a link to a puzzle, or a screenshot.

2. What you may not do

Reproducing a single puzzle, with attribution to Omeletter, in a review or in teaching is fine and does not require our permission.

3. Ownership

The puzzles, clues, software, artwork, the name Omeletter and the names of the individual games are owned by Fisheggs Pty Ltd or used under licence. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.

The chains of words in each puzzle are built by our own software, which draws on publicly available word lists and lexical databases. The clues are set by a human. Where third-party data is used under licence, it is used within the terms of that licence and is not redistributed as part of the app.

4. Purchases

All puzzles, which opens every day, is sold as a one-off in-app purchase through the App Store. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel. A single day can be unlocked on its own, and hints are sold in packs; neither is included in All puzzles, and All puzzles covers days published after you buy it as well as before. Apple handles the payment and the receipt. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your other devices using Restore purchases in Settings. Hints and day passes come back through iCloud rather than Restore purchases, as long as you are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account.

Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, including for a major failure.

5. The emailed sheet

You can ask us to email you the printable sheet on the mornings you choose. You will be asked to confirm the address first. Every email carries a link that stops them and a link that changes which mornings you get. We use the address for the sheet and nothing else. The list is held and the emails are sent by Kit, and what they hold is covered by our privacy policy. We may stop offering this at any time.

6. Availability

We aim to publish a new set of puzzles every day, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw the app or the website, or any part of them, at any time.

The days in the app are locked until their date comes round, and they open with keys we publish. If we ever stop publishing Omeletter, we will first release the keys for every day we have made, so that every day you have bought, and every day covered by All puzzles, still opens. We will leave the keys where the app looks for them and, if we can, put them in a last update of the app as well, so they do not depend on our website staying up.

7. Consumer guarantees and liability

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If there is a major failure with the service, you are entitled to cancel and get a refund for the part you have not used, or to be compensated for its reduced value. You are also entitled to compensation for any other loss or damage that was reasonably foreseeable. If a failure is not a major one, you are entitled to have it put right in a reasonable time, and if that is not done, to cancel and get a refund for the part you have not used.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those guarantees, or any similar rights you have under the law of the country you live in.

Beyond those guarantees and what these terms say, we make no other promises about Omeletter. Where the Australian Consumer Law allows it, which is only for a service of a kind not ordinarily bought for personal, domestic or household use, our liability for failing to meet a guarantee is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add something to Omeletter or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when we last did.

If a change makes a real difference to you, we will say so in the app and on this page at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not want to carry on under the new terms, you can stop using Omeletter at any time. A change will never take away a day or a purchase you already have.
